| In building OSTEI, we have been given a lot of
support from many of our colleagues in the local higher education institutes. We would
like to express our sincere thanks to Ms. Tracy Lo (City U), Ms. Winnie Wong(HKUST) and
Dr. John Barrett(City U) for agreeing to let us use the Sourcebook Question Bank which
have been painstakingly built, and for sharing with us their experiences. The Sourcebook
Question Bank is a product of their research project entitled - 'An Evaluation Sourcebook
and Software packages for Higher Education in Hong Kong'. Most of the questions used in
OSTEI came from their question bank. Another important source of the questions is from Dr. David Kember, who is the Project Coordinator of the Action Learning Project, and Associate Director of the Educational Development Unit of HKPU. We would also like to thank him for being so supportive of our work. The idea of OSTEI was first conceived by Dr. Mavis Kelly, formerly head of the Instructional Development Unit of HKUST. It was mainly due to her effort that the current project is made possible. Special thanks also go to Ms. Winnie Wong, acting Head of the Instructional Development Unit of HKUST, and Mr. Tony Lam, acting Director of the Educational Technology Center of HKUST for their support of the project. We would also like to thank the staff members of the project, namely Mr. Murphy Wong, Miss Connie Leung and Miss Winnie Lee for their hard work. |
